Xtralite Cream ( Azelaic Acid 10% & Tretinoin 0.05%) 15g

Xtralite Cream 15g is a topical medication primarily used to treat melasma—a skin condition characterized by dark, discolored patches on the face. It combines two active ingredients: Azelaic Acid (10% w/w) and Tretinoin (0.05% w/w).

Active Ingredients and Their Functions:

• Azelaic Acid (10% w/w): This dicarboxylic acid possesses anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce redness and swelling. It also inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme essential for melanin production, thereby lightening hyperpigmented areas.

• Tretinoin (0.05% w/w): A derivative of vitamin A, Tretinoin accelerates skin cell turnover, promoting the shedding of old skin cells and the formation of new ones. This process aids in reducing dark spots and improving overall skin texture.

Additional Ingredients:

Xtralite Cream also contains various inactive ingredients that nourish and soothe the skin, including Barley Extract, Bisabolol, Magnolia Kobus Flower Extract, Chrysanthemum Indicum Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root, Aloe Vera Gel, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycogen, Oat Oil, Argan Oil, Shea Butter, D-Panthenol, and Glyceryl Ascorbate.

Usage Instructions:

• Apply Xtralite Cream once daily in the evening. This is for PM use only as it contains tretinoin. Please start off using slowly 2-3 times a week and increase after 3 weeks. 

• Cleanse and dry the affected area before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected areas, avoiding contact with the eyes, nostrils, mouth, and any irritated or broken skin.

• Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream.

Precautions:

• Limit sun exposure while using this cream, as it can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight. Use sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15 

• Do not use if pregnant or breast feeding due to tretinoin in the product. You can use azelaic acid only if pregnant or breast feeding 

Possible Side Effects:

Common side effects may include skin peeling, burning sensation, redness, and stinging at the application site. These effects are usually temporary and diminish as your skin adjusts to the treatment.

Storage:

Store Xtralite Cream in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Keep it out of reach of children.
