Clobetasol propionate Ointment IP is a very strong (super-potent) topical steroid used on the skin to reduce inflammation, redness, and itching.

It is used for severe skin conditions, such as:
- Psoriasis
- Eczema (severe cases)
- Dermatitis
- Lichen planus
- Other steroid-responsive skin disorders
⚙️ How it works
Clobetasol belongs to a class called corticosteroids. It works by:
- Reducing inflammation
- Suppressing immune reactions in the skin
- Relieving itching and swelling
🧾 How to use it safely
- Apply a thin layer to the affected area
- Usually 1–2 times daily (as prescribed)
- Wash hands before and after use
- Do not cover with bandages unless told by a doctor
- Avoid face, groin, or underarms unless specifically advised
